Triple installation of New BGM machines at Amberley Labels

Global brands never stand still. The introduction of new and innovative packaging designs are part-and-parcel of life at the sharp end in big brand sectors such as cosmetics, personal care, healthcare and food.

But for the label printer this constant development can often mean having to find better ways to work with new and challenging substrates.

Bradford-based Bar Graphic Machinery encourages label printers large and small to put its label finishing equipment to the test with samples of substrates they sometimes find difficult to work with.

Award-winning Amberley Labels, whose customer list contains an enviable mix of blue-chip high street names, is one of the UK's top-tier producers of high quality, high performance self-adhesive labels.

A live demonstration in 2017, working with Amberley's substrates, showed conclusively that the all-new BGM iSR label inspection slitter rewinder was in a class of its own when it comes to cost, capability, design and build quality.

Just six weeks later and the new BGM iSR was already making its presence felt at Amberley's Blandford, Dorset facility. Which is why within months Amberley decided to go ahead and place an order for an additional two machines.

Dorota Stanczyk-Racinowska Operations Manager comments We spent a considerable amount of time researching which finishing equipment would be the best solution for finishing our wide verity of substrates, not only was it important that the equipment was good, it was imperative that we chose a manufacture that we could rely on and trust, from our initial enquiry right through to machine delivery and installations we have found BGM to be a very professional team to work with, our new finishing machines are delivering more than we could ever wish for

The BGM Elite iSR is the most cost-effective, compact and robust free-standing label inspection slitter rewinder currently available, boasting standard high specification features commonly found on more expensive slitter machines such as automatic unwind braking with an adjustable roll end, reversible rewind & machine diagnostics. It is fast and highly energy-efficient, with speeds of up to 300m/min running on a simple 13 amp 230V plug.
